He went on to say agents see a return of £300 more than direct sales on the operator’s river cruise product.

“Our average selling price is up 45% on January 2019 while our year on year increase is at a huge 566%, which is no surprise,” he said.
“Through our trade partners, our revenue is up 25% on 2019 as trade sales are £300 higher compared to direct sales.”
In an interview with Travel Weekly, head of trade Tom Morgan said agents upsell its product, making their sales more valuable.
“Agents are great at upselling cabins on a river cruise so someone will opt for a Superior Suite on a higher deck, or they will go for a nicer room if they are doing an escorted tour.
“The trade is so important to us and engagement is key for us this coming year.”
