Alfa Leisureplex Group has seen record-breaking bookings in 2021 with sales so far already surpassing the total seen in 2019.
The employee-owned group includes the Alfa Travel coach holidays and Leisureplex Hotels brands and has hailed “great support from the trade”.
Following the launch of its 2022 brochure on August 23, Alfa Travel saw three successive record-breaking sales weeks, with bookings 43% higher than in any previous week in its 31-year history.
Alfa’s 2022 range features coach holidays and self-drive breaks in the UK and Ireland, including festive and special event trips and a new range of Warner Breaks.

Emma Russell, managing director, commented: “We are not about ambitious growth targets, we are much more focused on customer experience and making sure we do everything we can to listen to feedback and continually improve.
“We know by doing this our customers return time and time again and the growth looks after itself.
“After a difficult 18 months for the whole industry, it is fantastic to see this paying off with the advanced sales we’ve seen for next year.”
She said being an employee-owned business means the company can “afford to be much more caring and compassionate about our people, whether that be our customers or our fantastic team of employee owners, as we don’t have the needs of private investors to worry about”.
“From the minute you make that first call to the minute you return home, our teams go that extra mile to provide a fantastic service,” she said.
“They have seen that this reaps the rewards of having more of a say in the direction of the company and also being rewarded financially from the success of the business.”
The group has more than 800 employees; 21 seaside hotels: and a fleet of 48 coaches.
