The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers has expanded its board with the addition of Kelly Jackson, EMEA managing director at TTC Tour Brands.
Her appointment follows the recent growth of Atas, which has seen the addition of nine new members and associate members since early March.
Jackson was voted into the post by members and will serve a one-year stint on the board.
She said she has joined because she is “passionate” about the touring sector and believes in its “immense potential”.
“I hope to collaborate with industry leaders and stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance the touring sector and promote sustainable tourism practices,” she told Travel Weekly.
“I am excited to contribute to Atas’s efforts in advocating for the touring category and raising awareness about its benefits.
“Ultimately, my goal is to actively participate in shaping the future of the touring industry.
“I am committed to fostering collaboration, driving growth and ensuring that touring continues to thrive as a popular and sustainable travel option.
“Together with the board and other members, I am confident that we raise more awareness about the benefits of touring and highlight its unique and enriching aspects.”

She said TTC Tour Brands – which includes Contiki, Trafalgar, Costsaver, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold – is seeing several trends that are gaining momentum, including sustainable and responsible tourism; experiential and immersive travel; more integrated technology, from online booking platforms to mobile apps providing real-time information; and increasing numbers of solo travellers.
“For us, North America continues to perform, followed by a stellar sales year for travel to Europe,” she added.
Currently, the board is led by chair Zina Bencheikh, Intrepid EMEA managing director, with Brian Young, EMEA managing director at G Adventures, as deputy chair.

“She will be at the Atas annual conference in Liverpool in October, where agents will get the chance to chat to her and other key figures in the association.”
