Atas plans virtual Monopoly walk for National Travel Agent Day

The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) has organised a virtual Monopoly walk to raise funds for National Travel Agent Day.

It is urging supplier members, associates and agents to take part during July 23-25.

The second National Travel Agent Day is being organised by Atas member Intrepid Travel, with Abta Lifeline and ITAA Benevolent Fund in Ireland the chosen charities.

The traditional Monopoly board has been divided into small sections for the virtual event, so walks can be as short as 0.4 miles. A full circuit would stretch for 36.3 miles.

Claire Brighton, Atas account director, said: “All participants can do as much or as little as they want to get Atas round the board as many times as possible and have some fun along the way.

“All you need to do is walk the distances anywhere is your local area.

“Anyone can take part then let us know what mileage they have achieved by email or using the #NTADATAS hashtag on social media.”

Agents who take part by making any size donation or walk any mileage could be in with a chance of winning a spot prize’

Donations can be made via this link and mileage updates can be sent to claire.brighton@touringandadventure.com.

Atas member Trafalgar is hosting a group of agents on Friday before they embark on a leg of Atas’ virtual Monopoly walk.
