Attraction World recruits head of strategic partnerships

David McDowell has joined Attraction World as the B2B supplier’s new head of strategic partnerships.

He is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the overall partnerships strategy within the business.

McDowell joins the Attraction World as part of an internal infrastructure led by chief executive Olly Nicholls.

Nicholls said: “With over 15 years’ experience, David has been responsible for building and delivering some of the most recognised and successful industry partnerships in the UK.

“Having worked for both large global organisations and ambitious private-equity backed start-ups, he is well versed in how soundly modelled and mutually value-driven partnerships drive substantial growth and commercial opportunity.

“It is great to have David onboard as we look to rapidly scale our business.”

His appointment follows the recent recruitment of Phillipa Standley as head of product; Neil Langdon as head of marketing; and Laura Ayleward-Eade as head of finance, to create a new leadership team as the business continues to evolve and diversify.

McDowell said: “I firmly believe that in 2022 we will see a year of unprecedented demand for travel and experiences.

“The opportunity to help shape and capitalise on the recovery with our supply and distribution partners, alongside best-in-class technology and a highly experienced team, was too great an opportunity to turn down.”
