The number of former cruisers likely to book an ex-UK sailing this year has increased by 5% on last year, according to a poll by cruise.co.uk.
The survey, which was completed by more than 8,000 past passengers, found 53% were ‘certain to’ or ‘very likely to’ book a cruise this year departing from the UK, while a further 24% were ‘fairly likely’.
The agency asked the same question in a survey issued last year, but saw a 5% increase in the top two responses this year, suggesting “yet more people are interested in taking a cruise”, according to managing director Tony Andrews.
Demand for fly-cruises remained high, with 64% of those ‘certain’ or ‘likely to’ set sail abroad this year, the same percentage as in 2023.
“We’re very encouraged to see yet more people interested in taking a cruise,” said Andrews.
“A getaway at sea can offer some of the best holiday experiences available at incredible value for money.
“With even more ships launching over the next 12 months, the variety of destinations, product and prices mean there is something to cater for every taste and budget.”
