Walt Disney World Florida is set to unveil the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind rollercoaster on May 27 in Epcot.
The family-friendly ride is the first Disney World attraction to feature Guardians of the Galaxy, and includes characters such as Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora and Star-Lord.
It is Disney’s first reverse launch and the first Disney ‘omnicoaster’, where vehicles make controlled rotations to keep guests focused on the action.
In homage to the films, the attraction weaves classic pop music into the experience, with hit songs from the 70s and 80s.
Located in the park’s newly renamed World Discovery Neighbourhood, the ride is the longest fully enclosed rollercoaster in any Disney theme park, covering more than 200,000 square feet.
