Early-bird registrations for Travel Convention to end on July 19

Early bird registrations for Abta’s Travel Convention in Marrakech will close on July 19.

The event will be the association’s first overseas convention since the pandemic and will take place from October 10-12.

Early bird rates are £600 for Abta members and first Abta partners, with additional partners and delegates paying £600. Companions attending with a delegate can register for £200.

Those registering after July 19 sill pay standard rates.

Speakers confirmed for the convention include former Conservative MP Rory Stewart and consultant and author Christine Armstrong, in addition to Intrepid Travel chief executive James Thornton.

Stewart was a Tory MP from 2010 to 2019, a minister from 2016-19 and a candidate for the party leadership in 2019. Prior to that he served as a solder, a diplomat, spent two years walking around Asia, was a deputy governor in Iraq following the 2003 war, and has produced several books and documentaries, including Afghanistan: The Great Game.

Armstrong is the author of The Mother of all Jobs, on work and motherhood, and will talk about hybrid working, attracting and retaining talent, and how to lead.
