Explore Worldwide adds 18 tours to Upgraded Collection

Adventure specialist Explore Worldwide has added 18 tours to its new Upgraded collection, including Turkey, Jordan, Peru, Vietnam, Botswana and Morocco.

The Upgraded collection features the key ingredients of a typical Explore holiday – small groups and expert tour leader – plus higher-category accommodation.

Michael Edwards, Explore managing director, said: “We created this collection of premium accommodation tours to retain the authenticity of our standard Explore trips, but with a little more comfort to come back to at the end of a day’s adventures.

“The trips are still very immersive and experiential, and we’ve worked hard to bring them in at a very competitive price point. They’re ideal for the traveller that would like extra comfort, or something a bit special.”

Where possible, guests stay in locally-owned, locally-run hotels, typically in four-star, rather than three-star properties.

The new tours also feature a special welcome meal and at least one “stand-out” experience or activity.

The nine-day Upgraded – Discover Morocco tour costs from £1,795 per person. It visits Morocco’s imperial cities and the Atlas Mountains.

The Upgraded – Discover Peru tour takes clients from Cusco and Machu Pichu to the Colca Canyon and the shores of Lake Titicaca. The 15-day holiday costs from £3,495 per person.

The 13-day Upgraded – Discover Sri Lanka tour features accommodation from the Heritance Kandalama to Bawa-style beachfront properties in Negombo and Galle. It is priced from £2,845 per person.

The nine-day Upgraded – Treasures of Jordan tour visits Jerash, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Red Sea, from £1,899 per person, while the Upgraded – Costa Rica Wildlife 14-day tour is from £3,999.
