Carmel Hendry has been appointed as vice-chair of the Latin American Tourism Association (Lata).
Hendry has taken over from Martin Johnson who was elected as chairman last month.
A member of the Lata committee since 2019, Hendry has been product manager at Explore for nearly eight years.

“I’m delighted to be appointed to the role of vice-chair at Lata,” she said.
“I look forward to working collaboratively with Martin and the Lata committee to serve our membership and advance the interests of Latin American tourism, an industry that’s very close to my heart.”
Johnson, director and co-founder of Latin Routes, said: “I am very pleased that Carmel has been appointed as the vice-chair of Lata.
“Her extensive knowledge and skills will greatly benefit Lata and I am excited to collaborate with her, the committee and the management team as we embark on the next exciting stage of Lata’s development.”
