Fam trip on offer as Gold Medal launches Dubai and Arabia brochure

Gold Medal has unveiled details of a fam trip to Abu Dhabi to mark the launch of its Dubai & Arabia brochure.

It is the fifth brochure in the 2024-25 portfolio of the B2B brand of dnata Travel Group UK.

As well as a focus on top sellers such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the brochure also offers holidays in the increasingly popular destinations of Oman, Qatar, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah.

To mark the brochure launch, more than 30 travel agents joined Gold Medal for training sessions at the operator’s HQ in Leyland, Lancashire, on Tuesday (August 20).

Twelve Dubai and Arabia suppliers, including Jumeirah, Miral, Dubai Tourism, Banyan Tree, Arabian Adventures and One&Only Resorts, hosted face-to-face training for the agents.

Gold Medal creates three additional trade sales roles

There are four places available for the Abu Dhabi fam trip, with three up for grabs in a prize draw for agents who register a Dubai or Arabia package with Gold Medal between August 20 and October 15, plus one wild card place being awarded at the end of the campaign.

Deborah Wadhams, head of long-haul product, said: “Dubai has always been a top-selling destination for us and, as demand for the region increases, we’re keen to showcase some of the lesser-known destinations in Arabia that offer excellent hotels and resorts in a variety of settings, as well as celebrating the firm favourites.

“A focus on providing new inspiration for agents was very important too, when developing this brochure.

“We have had requests for more multi-centre holidays such as pairing Dubai and Arabia with a multitude of other destinations, so agents can discover a selection of itineraries to showcase this including Dubai and Mauritius and Oman and the Maldives.”
