Alastair Campbell has announced his decision to leave his role as managing director of escorted tours specialist G Touring.
He will remain with the company – which operates the Travelsphere and Just You brands – until the end of the year, at which time a new managing director is expected to be appointed.
Campbell said: “It has been a privilege to lead the fantastic team at G Touring over more than five years.
“I am proud to have been part of this amazing journey and all that we have achieved together.
“My focus is now to support the successful transition to a new leader through to the end of the year.
“G Touring is in amazing shape and I wish it every success in the future.”
Bruce Poon Tip, founder and owner of G Touring, added: “Alastair was a great leader for Travelsphere and Just You before Covid, and was outstanding during the pandemic.
“I cannot thank him enough for his hard work and the passion he has brought to G Touring.
“We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
“As sad as we are to see him leave, leadership change presents a unique opportunity at a time when our industry is in flux and the tourism landscape is evolving.”
Campbell was appointed in March 2017 after G Adventures acquired the Travelsphere and Just You brands.
