A total of 40 agents will be welcomed on fam trips to Ibiza Rocks Hotel which has undergone a refurbishment of its music venue.
In an interview with Travel Weekly, Chris Medd, sales and operations director for the Ibiza Rocks Group, confirmed the hotel would invite 20 agents to two separate educationals, each featuring a show hosted by the hotel’s resident performers, Craig David, Becky Hill and Joel Corry.
The two trips are scheduled to take place in July and September and will give agents the opportunity to see the refurbished music venue which has seen the addition of a second pool containing day beds, a stage, VIP sofas and a premium general admission bar.

Medd went on to say the hotel group aims to build its relationship with the trade and is looking to develop agent training tools.
Currently, the hotel does not work directly with agents, but sells through Jet2’s Vibe product and Classic Package, but Medd hopes that will change.
“We know our relationship with Jet2 is strong, but we want to grow our own relationship directly with the trade,” he said. “It’s not about picking a certain agency to work closely with, we are open to growing our relationship with all agents.
“We really want to enhance our relationship with the trade and we are keen to work harder to make that happen.
“We are looking to do two fam trips this year so agents can see and experience our brand new venue. Both trips will coincide with a show; the first will be in July when Becky Hill is performing, and the second in September so agents can see Craig David and Joel Corry.
“Then, in the winter, we want to do some agency visits and training to get trade partners educated on the product ahead of 2024.”
Ibiza Rocks Hotel will welcome its first guests of the season on March 30, a month earlier than it has previously opened.
“In the last few years, we have seen that airlines are flying out to Ibiza earlier and earlier which has meant clubs and day bars are opening sooner in the season so we want to capitalise on that,” Medd said.
“We are only opening 30% of the hotel to begin with so there are fewer rooms to fill, but we are seeing some real interest in those earlier dates, with Easter and the weekend after already at 40% capacity which we only see as increasing as we move through peaks.
“We’re keen to see how it goes this year and if it’s a success then hopefully it’s something we will continue to do in the future.
“Our hope for next year is to put some events on over Easter weekend to drive even more traffic, so we need to work hard on building our relationship with the trade to get the word out there.”
