Intrepid Travel is targeting further growth in the UK market with a new recruit and series of promotions in its partnerships and sales teams.
Lucy Wildman has joined the responsible travel specialist as senior partnerships manager for the south region.
Her industry experience includes nearly a decade working at Trailfinders’ sales and product teams, and most recently as senior UK account manager for Discova, a destination management company (DMC) which operates across 15 destinations in Asia and the Americas.
Wildman will be managing day-to-day relations with Intrepid’s key partners and agents in the south of the UK.
She said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Intrepid, it’s a great company and one I have always admired and respected.”
Wildman joins Carrie Grant, senior partnerships manager (north), Molly Cofman-Nicoresti (partnerships manager) and Jessica Mills (partnerships executive).
Natalia Marin Reyes has been promoted to senior partnerships manager and will be overseeing Intrepid’s affiliate and co-branded partnerships.
Joanna Reeve’s role as head of business development and partnerships has also been expanded to cover Europe, alongside the UK.
Reeve said: “A bigger team means we can give even more support to our partners, and show more agents and customers what it means to be an Intrepid traveller.
“I’m excited to have Lucy joining the business as we roll out our plans for 2024 that support growth, collaboration and travel as a force for good.”
Intrepid has also had promotions in its UK and Europe sales team which will further strengthen partner support.
They include Samantha Briggs taking on the role of head of sales and Leah Burton, Emily Boscoe and Andrew Everett being promoted to sales managers.
Intrepid is launching more incentives and experiences for agents this year, including a Book 4 in ’24 incentive, 50% off Intrepid trips, 25% off 2024-25 Antarctic season voyages, 25% off Intrepid Urban Adventures for agents, and UK mini-Intrepid experiences and fam trips to be announced.
