Kuoni creates personalised brochures for holidaymakers

Travel agents will be able to create personalised Kuoni brochures tailored to their clients’ needs under a new scheme being launched by the operator.

Kuoni’s new ‘design your own’ holiday brochures go live next week.  Although mainly aimed at consumers ordering brochures online, agents can offer the brochures as an extra, bespoke service for clients.

They do not replace existing brochures, which continue to be produced by the operator, but will allow agents to create brochures with content specifically tailored to their client’s holiday enquiry from the operator’s website.

The brochure, personalised with the client’s name, can then be downloaded in digital form or printed and sent to the client’s home by Kuoni. The brochures have white and gold covers but feature bespoke inside pages.

The brochure can include destinations in different parts of the world being considered by the client for a holiday. It could, for example, combine the Amalfi Coast with Saint Lucia and the Maldives, in one brochure.

The bespoke brochure is being promoted by Kuoni as a way of reducing waste and providing more relevant content.

Product director Claire Ross said that despite the growth of online for researching and booking holidays, brochures remained central to the planning and decision-making process prior to booking a holiday.

She said: “Although the volume of printed brochures has declined over the years, many customers still like having something tangible when considering a special trip, particularly honeymoons.

“This new approach will be much more personal, designed as an exciting way to start the journey, and supports our sustainable business approach with less wasted paper.”
