Leger Holidays adds ‘make your own way’ breaks to UK range

Leger Holidays has created a range of UK breaks enabling customers to make their own way to the destination in order to join the holiday’s escorted excursions.

There are 19 options in the new Self-Drive & Tour category, featured in Leger Holidays’ first, standalone UK brochure, called Discover Britain & Ireland 2023-2025 Collection.

Customers can reach their chosen destination with their own car or by public transport, instead of the traditional coach option.

Ashley Dellow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “Demand for staycations is still growing and shows no sign of slowing down.

“With the launch of our new UK collection, we’re excited to show customers the very best of the destinations on their doorstep, and with 19 Self-Drive & Tour holidays to choose from, there really is something to suit every interest and budget.”

Prices for the Self-Drive & Tour collection start from £549.

Options include the four-night Railway Tracks & Walking in the Yorkshire Dales, which includes coach excursions to the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway, Settle-Carlisle Line and the Pennine Bridleway. It costs from £649.

Heritage Railways of the Cotswolds & Avon Valley is a four-night break based at the four-star Blunsdon House in Wiltshire.

Excursions include the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the Museum of the Great Western Railway and Broadway. The holiday costs from £595.

Other heritage train trips are included in the Scenic Trains, the Norfolk Broads & Sandringham holiday, which costs from £595.

The four-night holiday features Bittern Line and the Bure Valley Railway (pictured).
