Louise Tansey joins expanded Scenic Group trade team

Scenic Group has expanded its UK trade support team with the appointment of Louise Tansey as sales manager for the central region.

The parent of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises said her role follows “a huge increase in sales through agents this year”.

Tansey starts on Tuesday (May 3) and reports directly to the recently appointed director of trade sales, Andrea Stafford.

Having held business development and national sales positions at Bourne Leisure for more than 14 years, Tansey moved to Biblio Travel as sales manager last year. She progressed to trade sales manager at Vertical Travel Group where she was responsible for increasing and developing in-house sales across homeworking divisions for Amathus Holidays and Instant Breaks.

Tansey said: “I’m really looking forward to hitting the ground running in my new role at such a dynamic business. We have so many exciting opportunities for agents in the pipeline and I can’t wait to share these with agents in the central region and help them to fulfil their potential.”

The appointment comes following the news that the group has doubled the size of its agency support team, including the recent promotion of national sales key account manager, Wendi Hardy.

Stafford added: “Louise brings a wealth of experience to our already energetic and dedicated trade support team.

“Having just joined the team myself a month ago, we have a host of fresh faces joining an already well-established team and we can’t wait to continue to unlock the enormous potential that agents have when working with the Scenic Group brands.”
