Miles Morgan Travel said that yesterday (January 13) was its busiest ever trading day, with the agency chain achieving the best sales in its history.
It said customers “flocked” to the brand’s 19 branches in the southwest and South Wales to book a broad mix of holidays with its team of “expert” agents.
Mandy Shillito, managing director of Miles Morgan Travel, said: “Monday was the most incredible day; our customers came out in large numbers to secure their next holiday and every one of them received the expertise, product knowledge and exceptional service they value and come to us for.”
Alongside short-haul breaks and cruises, the agency said Canada and Australia are popular long-haul destinations, and customers are also regularly booking escorted tours and complex ‘bucket-list’ holidays.
Shillito added: “Our people are well-travelled and have first-hand experience of destinations and can share their enthusiasm and knowledge with customers.
“Their performance reflects their outstanding service, professionalism, commitment to our customers and overall determination to deliver when it matters the most.
“I am very proud of our teams in every branch – it was an incredible day and everyone should be proud of what they achieved.”
Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, chief operating officer of Hays Travel – which acquired Miles Morgan Travel in May 2024 – commented: “The Miles Morgan Travel team delivered an amazing performance yesterday and achieved their highest ever sales as a result.

Miles Morgan Travel is recruiting a team for its 20th branch in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, which is set to open soon.
Shillito added: “We’re looking forward to opening our new Trowbridge branch, which we expect to be another successful branch for us.
“There is a lot of potential in the area and a similar customer demographic to the places we are already located.”
