Premier Holidays has appointed former Red Sea Holidays national trade manager Nicky Bird as business development manager for the south of England.
Bird has left Red Sea Holidays after just under a year. She started with Premier Holidays this week.
Her appointment follows news of the departure of sales and business development manager Karen Milward at the end of April to join the Globus group.
Bird has previously worked as business development manager at Not Just Travel and worked in senior roles at Tui, Hays Travel and Cunard Cruise Line.
Premier Holidays said Bird brought a “wealth of experience and a stellar reputation” to the team and would bring “valuable insights and skills” to the role.
Sales and marketing director Debbie Goffin said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicky Bird to the Premier family. Her proven track record in business development, coupled with her passion for the travel industry, makes her an invaluable asset to our team.”
She said her expertise and dedication would play a ‘pivotal role’ in driving the tour operator’s success. “We look forward to her contributions and the positive impact she will undoubtedly make within our organisation,” added Goffin.
The company also thanked Milward for her efforts after her decision to move to Globus, which includes the brands Avalon Waterways, Globus Journeys and Cosmos Tours, describing her as an “outstanding ambassador” at Premier.
The operator said it wished her well in the new chapter of her career, which will see her take on the role of business development manager.
