Princess Cruises will introduce a restructured dining offering across its fleet to “offer greater flexibility to passengers”.
The line has introduced three table service options: traditional, which offers an early and late seating every evening; reservable, which gives passengers set times to reserve a table; and walk-in anytime, which has open seating available to support walk-ins.
The three table service option gives guests the “ultimate in flexibility and choice”, said the line, adding it has seen “resounding success” since its introduction on new ship Sun Princess, prompting the system to be rolled out across the line’s fleet by September 14.
Starting on June 17, booked guests will be able to use the line’s app ahead of their sailing to secure traditional seating in a dedicated dining room with the same waiter, table and time each night, or flexible dining, allowing them to have dinner at any available time and on a table size of their choosing in either the reservable or open seating dining rooms.
Vice-president of food and beverage Sami Kohen said: “Our guests have been delighted with the fining flexibility aboard Sun Princess and we’re pleased to extend the concept to all the other ships in our fleet.
“Now whether guests prefer an early seating every evening, change things up every night, or even change their mind, these flexible dining options ensure that their dining preference is effortlessly accommodated.”
