Head of trade Tom Morgan (pictured) told Travel Weekly strong sales have continued this month, as the operator’s revenue is 67% higher than it was compared to the first week of February in 2019, and it is 15% up on passenger numbers.
“We are thrilled with the sales we have seen and pleased to see them continue into February,” he said.
“It has been a really strong peaks and we have worked hard to keep our agent partners up to date on our products and offers so they can continue to sell – which clearly they have.”
Morgan said the top river cruises it sold in January were its Blue Danube, Rhine Cruise to Switzerland, and Douro Porto and Salamanca itineraries, while its most popular European tours were to Lake Como, Lake Garda and Spain, and its best-selling long-haul destinations were South Africa, Japan and Canada.
“We’ve seen a huge range in the products sold in January which has been great,” Morgan said.
“It’s important that agents know we don’t just sell river cruise so to see lots of our long-haul products being sold is very encouraging.”
