Escorted coach tour operator Shearings has added short breaks to the Floriade Expo to its ‘Flowers and Garden’ range for 2022.
Holidays to the Netherlands event can be secured with a £1 deposit until March 31, with nothing more to pay until about six weeks before travel.
Described as being like “a giant RHS Chelsea flower show”, the Floriade is held every 10 years near Amsterdam.
The 2022 Expo will include participants from about 40 countries presenting plants, flowers and cultures.
Shearings is offering four- or five-day Floriade Expo coach holidays departing from the UK every few days for the duration of the event from April to October.
The breaks cost from £399 and include coach travel from local UK joining points and four-star hotel accommodation.
As well as trips to the Expo, there are options to visit to the Keukenhof Botanical Gardens, Amsterdam and Het Loo Palace, described as the ‘Versailles of Holland’.
Ashley Dellow, Shearings’ head of retail sales, said: “Agents are reporting a boom in UK tour bookings for later this year, all fully refundable or changeable if the Covid situation should change.
“Looking ahead to next year, booking a Shearings tour to the once-in-a-decade Floriade Expo could be a perfect first overseas tour for agents to suggest to clients keen to get something memorable booked in and to look forward to in 2022.”
