Silver Travel Advisor promotes Kerry Gallagher to managing director

Kerry Gallagher has been promoted to managing director of Silver Travel Advisor.

Gallagher joined the over-50s travel specialist 18 months ago as director of marketing, tasked with leading the brand’s communications channels and introducing a booking service and retail team.

Prior to joining Silver Travel Advisor, Gallagher spent eight years at dnata UK as marketing director for Gold Medal and Travel 2.

In her new role, she will be responsible for growing the company’s publishing and retail arms, with a focus on acquisition, membership benefits, customer experience and product development.

Additionally, former business development director Penny Worthy has been promoted to the newly created role of commercial and partnerships director, assuming responsibility for developing partnership marketing opportunities and commercial activities.

Company owner Lisa McAuley said: “Having worked with Kerry for a number of years, I am confident she can bring the experience and skills needed to take the brand forward.

“She has been an integral part of the Silver Travel Advisor journey in recent years so this promotion is well-deserved.

“We’ve achieved so much since I purchased the business in 2020 so I am excited to see this continue under Kerry’s leadership.”

Gallagher said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to step into the role of managing director of Silver Travel Advisor.

“We’ve made such strides in growing our brand awareness, proposition and sales under Lisa’s guidance so I feel incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to take the reins.

“I look forward to working with our partners, stakeholders and the entire Silver Travel Advisor team to build on our achievements and drive the business to new heights.”
