Sunny Heart Travel has made its online booking engine live ahead of the government’s green list of destinations being announced this evening.
The tour operator, set up by former Thomas Cook staff, has previously only been bookable to customers over the phone.
It plans to open sales through the trade this summer having opened to direct customers on March 1.
Chief executive Steve Bentzen said: “We held off launching our online booking engine while travel uncertainty was high.
“With the imminent announcement on traffic lights we are comfortable to allow customers to book online if they prefer, but we still recommend calling one of our advisors to answer any questions they may have.
“We are hoping the announcement will be a new start for the whole travel industry, there are some new challenges to contend with but with the appetite to travel so high it should be a great summer if today’s news is good.”
