Winners of 2024 Silver Travel Awards unveiled

The winners of the 2024 Silver Travel Awards were unveiled during a ceremony in London on Thursday (October 24).

The awards, which recognise excellence in travel provision for the over-50s market, are organised by Silver Travel Advisor and were hosted by broadcaster and author Anthea Turner.

Twenty awards were presented based on more than 140,000 votes from Silver Travel Advisor customers, while five panel-judged Standout Awards recognised companies leading in areas such as  innovation, marketing, representation, solo travel and sustainability.

Best UK Breaks Operator – Warner Leisure Hotels
Best City or Cultural Break Provider – Riviera Travel
Best Self-catering Travel Company – Eurocamp
Best Rail Holiday Company – Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Best Accessible Travel Provider – Enable Holidays
Best UK Destination – Edinburgh
Best European Destination (outside the UK) – Italy
Best Worldwide Destination (outside the UK & Europe) – Canada
Silver Standout for Innovation – G Adventures
Silver Standout for Marketing – Riviera Travel
Silver Standout for Representation – Saga Holidays
Silver Standout for Solos – Alfa Travel
Silver Standout for Sustainability – Explore

Silver Travel Advisor marketing manager Marie Broadhurst said: “Our consumer-voted categories are a genuine stamp of approval for all the winning travel companies. The enthusiasm from our community of over-50s travellers reflects their deep engagement and passion for recognising outstanding travel experiences.”

Travel Weekly was once again the trade media partner for this year’s awards.
