Women in Travel and Tourism Forum to return in 2023

The International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (WITTF) will return in 2023.

Women in Travel CIC has announced it will hold its fourth annual forum on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Google’s London offices, and will see an addition of an awards ceremony for the first time, which will “recognise advocates and changemakers in diversity and empowerment of women in the travel industry”.

The award categories will reflect the social enterprise’s core pillars of leadership, mentoring, allyship, diversity, equity and inclusion, and talent and recruitment, and will have opportunities for both individual and companies to be successful.

Managing director and founder of Women in Travel CIC Alessandro Alonso (pictured left) said a time has not yet been set for the awards ceremony, but it is likely to take place the evening before the forum.

She continued: “Being in the room at IWTTF 2022 and feeling the passion that so many people in the industry share for our mission has inspired us to add an awards element to the IWTTF concept for 2023.

“We want to recognise those companies and individuals who are campaigning for more diversity in our industry, actively supporting women into roles in travel and developing that talent through mentoring and allyship.

“It’s very important to us that the awards reflect our specific purpose and the values that are integral to our work.”
