A-Rosa extends Rhine and Danube sailing schedule

A-Rosa has extended the conclusion of its current sailing season until the end of January 2024.

Ships will now sail until January 31 instead of January 11 as was previously planned.

Cruises will then resume three weeks earlier than originally scheduled on February 29 next year.

The European rive cruise line’s sailings will begin earlier than ever next year after the fleet takes a short break.

A-Rosa Sena’s first five-night ‘Rhine City Experience’ departure will now be three weeks earlier on February 29, sailing to Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht.

This means four extra departure dates are now on sale prior to the original planned start date of March 20.

A-Rosa Silva will now set sail two weeks earlier on March 2, with four extra departures of its four-night ‘Mini Cruise Main & Lorelei’ itinerary.

Four-night trips on the Danube will now resume from March 4 – up to a month early depending on the vessel and itinerary.

For example, A-Rosa Flora will start a four-night ‘Danube Mini Cruise Cities & Wachau’ itinerary two and a half-weeks earlier with four extra departures, while A-Rosa Mia and A-Rosa Riva’s four-night trips starting a month earlier.

The season in France and on the Douro in Portugal will end as planned this year before the ships take an annual winter break.

The season on the Rhone and Saone rivers runs until October 31 and the Douro until mid-November.

UK and Ireland managing director Lucia Rowe said: “Extending our season on the Rhine and Danube to feature even more departures offers agents an even great choice of options to sell.

“As these shoulder season dates are four and five nights durations, they are the perfect product to promote to short break customers who want to see more cities in one trip and fancy giving river cruising a try.”
