Advantage agents urged to back preferred suppliers to boost commission

Advantage Travel Partnership is urging members to be in its version of “The 1% Club” by supporting its preferred suppliers to add to their bottom lines.

Referencing the popular TV show, the consortium said agents who supported the consortium’s preferred suppliers could earn an extra one percent commission – equivalent to £10,000 on their bottom line on £1 million sales.

The consortium currently has 130 partner suppliers across all sectors.

Senior partnerships manager Kerri Thorpe urged members to grab the opportunity to earn more commission through deals negotiated with suppliers by head office.

“Earn that extra 1% on commission and think what difference that would make to be in our 1% club. We can help identify these opportunities,” she said.

She added suppliers could help agents attract a more diverse audience using “eye catching and inspiring” content for members’ shop windows.

“These preferred partners will bring customers to your doors. Are you thinking about that when you are doing your quotes?”
