Amazon added by Swan Hellenic for 2025

An Amazon voyage and two new Mediterranean itineraries have been introduced but Swan Hellenic for 2025.

The expanded programme for the cultural expedition line’s small ships ranges from Brazil to the Bijagós Archipelago off Guinea-Bissau, Norway to Canada, Argentina to South Africa, and Madagascar to Italy in addition to the Arctic and Antarctic.

The 19-night Barbados to Brazil itinerary by 152-passenger SH Vega sails from Bridgetown on October 12 next year down the coast of South America to Salvador de Bahia, including a four-day detour up the Amazon River

The new Med cruises explore sites of ancient and medieval culture, many with Unesco World Heritage status. Most of these can only be accessed by smaller ships such as 192-passenger SH Diana which can also moor in the heart of Venice.

A ten-night departure on August 20 sees the ship sail from Palermo to Venice covering the Sicilian, Montenegrin and Croatian coasts.

Chief commercial officer Patrizia Iantorno said: “We’re delighted with the itineraries our specialists have curated for 2025.

“They not only build on our pioneering 2023 and 2024 cultural expedition cruises, but also bring entirely new opportunities for curious minds to expand their horizons in 2025.”
