American Affair creates agent website as trade sales grow

Tour operator American Affair has launched a new website for agents, along with a booking incentive running throughout May.

The sister company to Canadian Affair said Great American Journeys offers more than 30 itineraries, including fly-drive packages, as well as cruise, rail and motorhome options.

Nick Talbot, head of marketing at American Affair and Canadian Affair, said: “With significant growth in trade sales in the past 12 months, it’s a natural development for us to offer the same top-class agent sales tools with American Affair as we do with Canadian Affair.”

American Affair said the growth in trade sales represented an 80% rise.

The new website covers a “comprehensive and varied set of locations”, the company said, with itineraries designed to be easy to navigate.

A section called ‘American Affair recommends’ outlines key highlights of each package, allowing agents to select the best holidays for their customers’ needs.

Talbot said: “The US is an ever-popular location and we want to ensure our trade partners have the highest level of support from us to help them meet the consumer demand which is clearly there.”

The inventive running throughout May means agents can earn up to £100 of Love2Shop vouchers per American Affair booking.

The operator, which was set up in 2021, aims to offer “high quality, good value holidays from the UK to the US”.

Its sister company has grown to become the largest specialist tour operator selling flights and tailor-made holidays to Canada.
