Club Med reveals new Zenventure concept

A new Zenventure concept is being introduced by Club Med at a new resort in the Seychelles.

The offering by all-inclusive operator aims to combine relaxation and adventure in one place.

The concept will then be expanded to feature at Miches Playa Esmerlda in the Dominican Republic,  La Plantation d’Albion in Mauritius and Finolhu Villas in the Maldives.

“From treetop yoga and reconnecting with nature on a jungle hike through to adrenaline fueled watersports and swinging from a flying trapeze, Zenventure combines many of the favourite aspects from Brits’ holidays to create an experience fit for families and couples alike,” the company said.

Club Med released the results of new consumer research revealing nearly two in five Britons (38%) claim that the prospect of travel is one of the main sources of hope which has kept them going during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Almost a quarter (22%) also plan to spend more on their next holiday.

Meanwhile, 36% will be looking for more adventure during their holidays post-pandemic, instead of just focusing on relaxation.

Club Med UK and Northern Europe managing director Estelle Giraudeau said: “It’s hardly surprising that the travel ban has got the nation dreaming about all the exotic destinations and experiences they’d like to enjoy post pandemic.

“Our research shows we’re open to plenty of excitement and adventure, whether that’s staying in a water bungalow in the Maldives, walking along the Great Wall of China or drinking rum at a beach bar in the Dominican Republic.

“After a year like no other, we understand that people want that element of both zen and adventure and that’s why we have created the Zenventure holiday.”
