Travel agency Holiday Lounge is to host its first overseas conference in Cyprus in November this year.
The four-branch agency in Leicestershire opened in 2004 with two staff and now has more than 20 and trades as part of the Midicounties Travel Consortium.
The four-day conference will take place at one of the Constantinou Bros Hotels in Paphos from November 26 to 29, and is due to be attended by more than 30 people in total, including staff and sponsors.
The event will include a full day’s conference with motivational speaker Dave Heeley, known as ‘Blind Dave’, the first blind person to complete the ‘seven-marathon challenge’ of seven marathons, in seven days on seven continents. Other speakers include George Styliano, mayor of Kissonerga, near Paphos.
There will also be team building events, hosted meals and a local excursion to the old town and a winery.
JTA is the headline sponsor and other other sponsors include Wendy Wu Tours, Riviera Travel, If Only, Jet 2, Celebrity and Sandals, most of which have representatives attending the event.
Holiday Lounge director of operations Zoe Moss said the company was proud to be hosting its first overseas conference, and said the agency had a long-standing working relationship with the hotel group.
