Luxtripper ranked in top 20 of fastest-growing private companies

Luxury operator Luxtripper has made it into the top 20 of an annual ranking of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies.

The firm was positioned 19th in The Sunday Times 100 as the only travel company to be included in the top 50.

It reported sales of £27.9 million in the year to March 2023 and annual sales growth of 144.87% over the last three years as its workforce tripled.

Marking its entry on the list, the newspaper said: “Started in 2013 by the chief executive Nena Chaletzos, 48, the specialist firm has a little black book of 5,000 experiences across all continents.

“It grew sales to £27.9 million in the year to March, helped by its strong social media following of more than 130,000 people.”

The business developed unique technology to match customers to destinations based on their requirements, and create highly-personalised, experience-led itineraries.

Chaletzos said: “This is a real ‘pinch me’ moment, and I’m humbled to see Luxtripper alongside other incredible businesses – and particularly so many other female founders – on exciting growth journeys that really represent the best of UK entrepreneurialism.

“Experiencing a complete pause in travel during the Covid pandemic, we took that time to develop our technology, engage with our customers, and develop our product portfolio, and we’ve emerged stronger and more resilient than ever.

“Our technology is what makes us different, but it’s our people that make us successful and I’m so proud of the fantastic team at Luxtripper who have taken the vision I had just eight years ago for a simple, quick and easy approach to travel planning, and make it a reality every day.”

Golf Travel Group was ranked 66 in the list with annual sales growth over three years of almost 67% to reach £12.3 million last year.

Celebrating the UK’s entrepreneurial achievements, The Sunday Times 100 league table takes over from the Fast Track 100 series, which highlighted the country’s leading entrepreneurs for 24 years.
