Clare Goss has been named by Asian hotel group Onyx Hospitality as global sales director for the UK and Ireland.
Her background in travel and tourism includes roles with Etihad Airways and Best At Travel.
She will be instrumental in driving Onyx’s sales strategies and expanding its footprint within the UK and Ireland, according to the Bangkok-based company.
Her primary focus will be to drive awareness the group’s newest addition, Amari Raaya Maldives, along with its presence in Malaysia and well-established properties in Thailand.
Sales and distribution senior director Hathairat Naen-kwaen said: “Clare’s proven track record and industry insight will be invaluable in elevating our market presence and driving our success in the UK and Ireland.”
Goss added: “The recent opening of Amari Raaya Maldives is a spectacular addition to Onyx’s luxury portfolio.
“Recently I was lucky enough to see the property first-hand, and was hugely impressed with its concept and facilities, notably the range of activities available for couples, families and groups, as well as the extensive kids club with its offering for both older and younger children, which makes it an excellent and welcome addition to the Maldives market.
