Riviera Travel has extended its flexible booking policy to December 31 following customer feedback.
The river cruise and escorted touring holiday specialist’s policy allows customers to change their booking deposit to another holiday in 2022 or 2023, up until their final balance payment is due.
Guests can transfer their deposit to another holiday or equal or higher value.

The policy had been due to finish on July 31 but the operator has decided to extend it to the end of the year and also include bookings for 2023 holidays.
Riviera offers river cruise itineraries on the Seine, Rhone, Rhine, Douro and Danube, and touring holidays including to France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Norway and Iceland.
The policy contains the ‘Riviera price promise’, which means if the cost of a holiday goes down after booking, guests pay the lower price or will be refunded the difference.
The operator said: “It means guests will always benefit from the best price by booking early.”
Robin Shaw, Riviera Travel chief operating officer, said: “We’ve extended our policy as we want customers to have complete confidence when making a booking, and to be sure they won’t lose out if their plans need to change.
“Our customers have provided clear feedback that flexibility remains important to them, and we are absolutely committed to always doing the right thing by them.
“We ensure guests’ money is safe and secure, that they pay the lowest price, and they are protected by Abta and Atol at all times, while having the best possible choice of river cruise and escorted touring holidays.”
