Riviera Travel scraps charge for passengers flying from regional hubs

Riviera Travel has removed the supplement price it charges customers flying from regional airports across the UK and Ireland.

The river cruise and escorted touring specialist confirmed the change was permanent and applied to 14 airports including Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin.

The change comes into effect from today (August 22).

Next year, Riviera will offer more than 1,300 flights from airports outside London, which will serve cruise itineraries on rivers including the Seine, Rhone, Douro, Rhine and Danube, and touring holidays to destinations such as France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Norway and Iceland.

Will Sarson, head of strategy and innovation at Riviera Travel, said: “With ever-increasing numbers of people looking to holiday from next year, we’re excited to be able to offer even more flexibility for our guests around the country.

“We offer the widest selection of dates and regional departure options across the UK and Ireland, meaning guests can enjoy the convenience of flying direct from their local airport, and all at great value.”

Riviera will also offer more than 1,300 flight options out of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.
