A-Rosa expands UK and Ireland trade sales team

A-Rosa River Cruises has appointed Joe Lavers as its regional sales manager for the south.

Lavers will provide both on-the-road and virtual support to the trade in his region and will be responsible for sharing updates with agents about the brand.

He will help grow awareness and sales for the German river line through the UK trade.

Lavers’ most recent role was senior business development manager at Wendy Wu Tours.

Reporting directly to A-Rosa UK’s head of sales, Stephen Joyner, Lavers’ responsibilities will mirror Sharon Wilson who was appointed in February to cover the north of the country.

Joyner said: “Joe joins us at an incredibly exciting time, just weeks before we launch A-Rosa Sena in May.

“Our newly announced partnership with Aviate, which means agents can now book fully protected Atol packages through us, has moved us up a level in terms of what we can offer the trade.

“We know how important supporting them going forward will be and having Sharon and now Joe on the team means we can cover the entire country and ensure we get everyone talking about A-Rosa.”

Lavers (pictured) said: “I’ve always been dedicated to the trade, so representing a brand that is 100% trade focused is really exciting for me.

“A-Rosa is bringing so many amazing and unique propositions to the market and I’m really looking forward to helping further increase their brand awareness here in the UK.”

The line’s trade sales team now consists of Joyner, Wilson, commercial manager Hugh Clayson and Lavers.
