Agent joins Ambassador as business development manager

Ambassador Cruise Line has recruited travel agent Carly Bowkett as business development manager.

She will be responsible for trade sales in Scotland, the north of England and Northern Ireland, fostering existing commercial relationships and developing new agent and trade partnerships.

The cruise line said she has “considerable experience in frontline customer service positions” and joins from the Protected Travel Shop branch in Fleetwood, Lancashire, where she was store manager. Previous roles include travel sales consultant at Thomas Cook Retail.

Bowkett will report to divisional sales manager Karen Cameron, who commented: “She is a confident, outgoing and enthusiastic addition to the team, and this will only benefit the brand as we look to continue providing our valued agent partners with all the support and tools they need.

“I’m confident that Carly’s arrival will see Ambassador go from strength to strength in the north as we look to serve both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible.”

Ambassador has also announced that Audra Garner will move from her role in its contact centre to join the trade team as trade support assistant.

Garner, who has worked in the cruise industry for several years and was previously a sales consultant at Thomas Cook Retail, will move to her new role on April 2, reporting to trade support manager, Beth Barker.
