Azamara is claiming record UK sales with passengers up by more than 20% over last year.
The small ship line hailed 2023 as its most successful sales year on record in the UK with a year-on-year a revenue increase of more than 30%, although actual figures were not disclosed.
The results follow investment in an expanded sales team, with Moira Gregson and Adam Morris joining as business development managers.
This has enabled the company to reach more agents than ever before and surpass previous performance levels.
UK head of trade sales Stuart Pearce said: “Our travel agent community is pivotal to our success, and we could not be more grateful for their continued support this year.
“Now with the right resources in place, the team can deliver enhanced support and continue growing our network, resulting in more partners choosing to book with Azamara.
“For example, we had a greater presence at industry events this year, with the team engaging with over 3,500 agents at conferences alone.
“We also invited agents onboard to experience the Azamara product first-hand, during a series of ship visits around the British Isles and an intimate seminar at sea, and received fantastic feedback from everyone that joined us.”
A 20% per cabin discount has been introduced as a wave season offer on selected sailings between April 1 and December 32, 2024, when booked by March 21.
UK managing director David Duff added: “It’s been a phenomenal sales year for us, with country-intensive itineraries, seven-night plus sailings and long-haul destinations, including Japan and South Africa proving to be extremely popular.
“We are already seeing great demand for 2024, with European sailings across all four ships selling well, and are on course to exceed these records once more next year.”
