Holidaysplease reports record Q1 as clients prioritise trips

Homeworking agency Holidaysplease has reported record revenues from sales in the first quarter of 2022, as consumers prioritise travel experiences over material items.

The company said sales this month are already “smashing” the previous April record.

Cat Reeves, Holidaysplease brand and business growth executive, said: “2022 is shaping up to be the most exciting and fruitful time in our 20-year history.”

She said her analysis of the market and recent consumer surveys suggests that more consumers will spend their money on trips rather than designer goods and other items.

“This excites us even more as we specialise in long-haul, luxury travel,” she said.

The number of repeat bookings is 43% up year-on-year this month, and more new enquiries are being converted into sales, added Reeves.

One homeworker, Gillian Stewart, said her repeat clients are spending more on holidays than usual, by upgrading flights and room types.

Reeves added: “We are committing further significant investment and resource to help our team achieve even higher levels of sales from their client bases.”

She said more details will be revealed in May about the investment in training and tools to help homeworkers make the most of repeat sales.

Reeves also said the improvement in conversion rates is thanks to the reassurance of reviews on the Trustpilot website.
