Midcounties homeworkers reunite at pop-up picnics

Home-based agents from The Personal Travel Agents were reunited in a series of pop-up picnics hosted by the division’s support centre team.

The events for Midcounties homeworkers were attended by up to 30 agents – plus pets and children – with picnics laid on by NCL Cruises.

Six gatherings took place in York, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester, Exeter and Tunbridge Wells.

Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents, said: “Everybody has worked their hearts out during this most challenging of times and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.

“To hear the stories of how the agents have coped, stayed sane and kept money coming in over the last 18 months filled me with such admiration.”

She added: “Having the chance to get together was such a morale booster that that we are already looking at ways we can arrange more regular meet-ups in the future.

“The agents loved having the chance to reconnect. There was no business talk – just a beautiful park, sandwiches, sweet treats, and a bunch of incredible Personal Travel Agents who have survived the toughest of years and who were so excited to see each other.”
