Carrick to face stormy reception at Advantage conference
AIRTOURS managing director Richard Carrick can expect a stormy reception at Advantage Travel Centre’s conference in Tunisia next weekend, according to the consortium’s president.Roger Smith predicted members will give the operator a rough time in light of the direct-sell controversy.
“Airtours can expect a lot of stick from members in Tunisia,” said Smith. “It is something agents feel strongly about. We’ve had a direct number in the brochure for a while but it’s got out of hand.”
Carrick is one of the key speakers at the conference.
Meanwhile, Advantage will launch its Web site to the public in Tunisia.
It will enable customers to locate their nearest Advantage agents and search late availability.
