Leading Suites programme extended to worldwide properties
HOTEL consortium The Leading Hotels of the World has extended its Leading Suites programme to all of its properties worldwide. The upmarket group had previously only offered the programme in its Asia-Pacific hotels. Under the deal, a selection of top suites are offered at 20% less than the normal rate, or with added benefits that equal that amount.
For example, extras include breakfast, complementary champagne and flowers on arrival, dinner for two or limousine airport transfers.
A Leading Suites brochure is being published this month highlighting the special offers. The programme was designed to increase business in suites, which sell at the highest average rate but have the lowest occupancy. Leading regional manager for the UK, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East, Jane Carson, said last year’s programme generated an average suite booking of $830.
“This is the first and only global luxury suite product on the market and was originally developed for our hotels in Asia-Pacific,” she said. “It has proved so popular that it is now available at member properties worldwide.”
The programme is commissionable to agents and will be available until March 31 next year.
