Hart heads up Holiday Autos e-commerce
HOLIDAYAutos has appointed Mathew Hart to the new post of e-commerce director with a brief to develop interactive businesses.Hart will co-ordinate the e-commerce activity for the whole of the car-hire broker’s group, negotiating pan-European and global deals with intermediaries. He will also study opportunities for the firm to expand into digital television sales.
The company already has deals with on-line sites such as Go, Expedia and auctioneers QXL.
Hart, whose previous role has been taken over by the commercial department, will report to group marketing and communications director Sara Zimmerman.
Meanwhile, Holiday Autos is offering agents late deals on-line for departures within 14 days. Rates for a Renault Megane Scenic in Majorca are down from £244 to £209 for pick-ups until June 14. www.holidayautos.com.
