NvisioN tool acts as office ‘time-saver’

THETRAVEL Company GTM has developed a technology system called NvisioN for use in its 35 agencies and corporate implants.

The travel tool combines Sabre’s reservation system with the company’s own accounting system. Staff can now type in fewer set commands, and yet the system will still recognise what they want to do.

IT development manager Keith Duncan, who developed NvisioN himself, described it as a ‘hybrid’ system that allowed skilled staff to take short cuts and save time.

“We have bought a licence from Sabre, converted to its system and developed our own system to sit on top of it,” he said. “There wasn’t a product in the marketplace that would let us take advantage of the skills our staff already had.”

The Travel Company GTM previously used Galileo, but it started changing over to Sabre’s system last October.
