n holiday options adds twin-centre breaks
Holiday Options are to include twin-centre holidays with the Istria region of Croatia for their 2001 brochure, providing a week in the lakes and mountains of Slovenia and a week on the Istrian coast at the resorts of Porec or Rovinj.
n visitors still able to buy duty-free
Duty-free is alive and well in Slovenia. As an associate member of the European Union, the country was not forced to drop duty-free last year. Visitors can buy goods at UK airports en route and also at Brnik airport on the way home.
n Adria Airways adds weekly heathrow flight
Adria Airways introduced a weekly Heathrow-Dubrovnik flight via Ljubljana in Slovenia last month. This means a two-week holiday can include a week in Slovenia and a week in the famous Croatian walled city of Dubrovnik. There are now 12 flights a week to the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana from May to October with departures from Heathrow, Manchester and Dublin with Adria Airways, and Gatwick with British Airways.
