n eurodrive embarks on trade driveEurodrive Car Rental has signed up 14 agents under a new strategy to work through the trade. The Wakefield-based car-rental company has previously brokered all its cars to Holiday Autos for sale through the trade, but managing director Richard Lowden said that is changing. “We will still work with Holiday Autos but we want to build up our own travel agency network.”
n avis to canvas agents on car hire
Avis is to commission research company MORI to canvas 1,000 agents to find out their thoughts and views of car rental. The results will be used to develop the products and services the trade wants.
n suncars offers vouchers incentive
Suncars is giving agents a £20 gift voucher – redeemable at shops including Marks and Spencer and Boots and for Unijet holidays – for every booking to the US this month under its Experience World of Difference incentive. Other bookings will earn a £5 voucher.
n pelican packageson-line rental deal
Pelican director John Swindell is to offer agents an Internet-booking package featuring worldwide rates tailored to suit their level of business. The broker is including baby seats, roof racks, additional drivers and delivery and collection in its Spain and Portugal rates this summer.
