Redfern takes over as Rees quits DNATArole

DNATA UK is currently looking for a new head of sales and marketing following the departure of manager UK and Ireland Cris Rees.

Rees, who left the company last week, has been replaced by sales and marketing manager Trudy Redfern.

The operator, which is part of the Dubai-based Emirates group, recruited both Rees and Redfern in January to run the division jointly, with the aim of strengthening its position as a Dubai expert in the UK.

But Rees claims the company was too top heavy and that DNATA had a problem securing the distribution it needed.

A spokesman for DNATA said: “Cris has decided to move on for personal reasons and his departure from the company was totally amicable.

“Trudy has now secured full responsibility for the entire division and we will be recruiting to fill her previous position as head of sales and marketing.”

DNATA UK rebranded last week and its leisure product was renamed Axis Worldwide.
