Sparks fly as interview with Maraffi makes alarm bells ring
US CONSORTIUM Travelsavers may have an uphill struggle to reach its target of 600 agents but if the dedication of president and chief operating officer Jack Maraffi is anything to go by, it will have a fighting chance.During an interview with one of our correspondents, the fire alarm went off in his office. Everyone was told to evacuate the building, but Maraffi was having none of it.
“We will carry on talking, because this is more important,” he said with a dedication to duty that only our friends from the US seem to have.
Eventually, even Maraffi had to give up.
“Look, everyone’s out of the building, I really have to go,” he said.
We’re pleased to report the problem was just an electrical fault and Maraffi and co were unhurt.
