Clients need more clarity
Everyone knows how confusing the industry’s acronyms can be. How are customers meant to understand?Mrs Jones rings up to enquire about a holiday she has seen advertised on Teletext – £269 to Crete and Kos on the 22/23 August.
She says she’s got two toddlers just over two years, herself and her husband. She wants a costing for the family please.
Mrs Jones claims it’s expensive and adds that it doesn’t say that on our Teletext page. To which I apologise and say we don’t actually advertise child prices.
Mrs Jones says: “Yes you do, it says ‘TOD – 0-10, in other words Toddlers £0-£10.”
I can only explain:”I’m sorry Madam, that means ticket-on-departure charge. There is an index on this section that explains abbreviations.”
